Wondering What the Process Looks Like?

We know that bringing home a puppy is a meaningful and exciting decision. Every breeder does things a bit differently, so we’ve outlined our process clearly below.

Our goal is to make each step feel supportive, transparent, and joyful — so you can feel confident and prepared as you welcome your new family member home.

Step 1 Application

If you are interested in adopting one of our puppies, we invite you to begin by filling out our puppy application. This allows us to get to know you, your home, and the type of companion you are hoping to welcome.

Once submitted, you will hear from us by email within 2 business days regarding approval.

Step 2 Deposit & Waitlist

Once your application is approved, we will send you our Companion Puppy Purchase Agreement to review and sign. We encourage you to take your time with it and reach out with any questions — We want every family to feel fully informed comfortable and confident before moving forward, so please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions.

Once the agreement is signed, a $500 non-refundable reservation deposit is requested to secure your place on our waitlist. It will be applied toward the $3,500 purchase price, with the remaining balance due when puppies reach 6 weeks of age. 

We accept only a limited number of reservations per litter to prevent over-booking and to ensure that reservation spots reflect realistic expected litter sizes. 

If fewer puppies are born families may choose to transfer their reservation to a future litter. Deposits may be transferred up to three times, subject to future litter avaailability. 

Your position on the waitlist is determined by the date the deposit is received.

Step 3 Puppies are born!

When puppies are born, we will send out a special Puppy Announcement email to everyone on the waitlist for that litter. At that time, we kindly ask that you confirm whether you would like to remain on that litter’s waitlist or transfer your reservation to a future litter.

Providing your decision at the time of the announcement allows us to ensure accurate availability and prevents last-minute changes that may affect other families who are also eagerly waiting.

If you choose to stay on the litter, your reservation remains secure. If you choose to transfer, your deposit is still valid and may be transferred up to three times.

We understand that timing and circumstances can shift, and we are always here to help you find the right puppy for your family. Clear communication helps us support every family on our waitlist with fairness and care.

Step 4 Puppy Evaluations & Assignment!

At 7 weeks of age, each puppy is given a temperament evaluation to help us understand their individual personality, confidence, sensitivities, and overall energy. These insights allow us to thoughtfully match each puppy with the home where they will thrive. Families may share their preferences for color or gender, but these cannot be guaranteed.

Puppy assignments are made with care and in the order reservation deposits were received. While deposit order determines the *sequence* of assignments, the final match is guided by temperament and lifestyle compatibility—ensuring each puppy and family are beautifully suited to one another. In some cases, temperament and suitability may guide us to a puppy that differs from initial preferences if that match is in the puppy’s best interest. 

Because our goal is long-term harmony and well-being, we cannot guarantee specific colors or genders. Preferences are always noted and considered, but temperament and suitability will always lead the placement process.

Your puppy’s assignment will be shared in our 7-week pup-date email, along with updated photos and next steps in preparing for Gotcha Day.

Step 5 Gotcha Day!

Your Gotcha Day date will be included in the Puppy Announcement email sent shortly after birth. This allows every family plenty of time to prepare, schedule travel, and make arrangements for a smooth and joyful transition.

Puppies go home at 8 weeks of age, unless an individual puppy requires additional time for developmental support. We will always share guidance, packing lists, and support resources leading up to Gotcha Day — and we remain here for you long after your puppy is home.
