Our Process

We know that bringing home a puppy is a meaningful and exciting decision. Every breeder does things a bit differently, so we’ve outlined our process clearly below.

Our goal is to make each step feel supportive, transparent, and joyful — so you can feel confident and prepared as you welcome your new family member home.

Step 1 Application

If you are interested in adopting one of our puppies, we invite you to begin by filling out our puppy application. This allows us to get to know you, your home, and the type of companion you are hoping to welcome.

Once submitted, you will hear from us by email within 2 business days regarding approval.

Step 2 Reservation Deposit & Waitlist

Once your application is approved, you will be invited to review and sign our Companion Puppy Purchase Agreement and Health Guarantee Agreement. We encourage famliies to read these documents carefully and reach out with any questions prior to moving forward. 

After the agreements have been signed, a $500 reservation deposit is required to secure your place on our approved reservation list. The deposit is applied toward the total purchase price of $3,500, with the remaining blace due at six (6) weeks of age, as outlined in the agreement. 

We accept only a limited number of reservations per litter to prevent over-booking and to ensure that reservation spots reflect realistic expected litter sizes.

Your position on the waitlist is determined by the date the deposit is received.

Step 3 Puppies are born!

When puppies are born, we will send out a special Puppy Announcement email to families on the reservation list for that litter confirming the litter size. 

Families are then placed on the Primary Reservation List or Priority Reservation List based on reservation order and puppy availability. 

If the number of puppies born is fewer than the number of reservations received, families on the Priority Reservation List may elect to roll their reservation forward to a future litter or receive a reservation refund, as outlined in the Companion Puppy Purchase Agreement. 

Clear communication at this stage allows us to ensure accurate availability and support all families on our reservation list with fairness and transparency. 

Step 4 Puppy Evaluations & Assignment!

At 7 weeks of age, each puppy is given a temperament evaluation to help us understand their individual personality, confidence, sensitivities, and overall energy. These insights allow us to thoughtfully match each puppy with the home where they will thrive. Families may share their preferences for color or gender, but these cannot be guaranteed.

Puppy assignments are made with care and in the order reservation deposits were received. While deposit order determines the *sequence* of assignments, the final match is guided by temperament and lifestyle compatibility—ensuring each puppy and family are beautifully suited to one another. In some cases, temperament and suitability may guide us to a puppy that differs from initial preferences if that match is in the puppy’s best interest. 

Because our goal is long-term harmony and well-being, we cannot guarantee specific colors or genders. Preferences are always noted and considered, but temperament and suitability will always lead the placement process.

Your puppy’s assignment will be shared in our 7-week pup-date email, along with updated photos and next steps in preparing for Gotcha Day.

Step 5 Gotcha Day!

Your Gotcha Day date will be included in the Puppy Announcement email sent shortly after birth. This allows every family plenty of time to prepare, schedule travel, and make arrangements for a smooth and joyful transition.

Puppies go home at 8 weeks of age, unless an individual puppy requires additional time for developmental support. We will always share guidance, packing lists, and support resources leading up to Gotcha Day — and we remain here for you long after your puppy is home.
